Country of Dolls

“In the wake of Japan’s apocalypse, tens of millions of incombustible, life-sized dolls were expelled from the ashes. They coughed up charcoal clouds that dispersed into sunlit particles, then balled their fists and brushed the cinders from their eyes.”
