I’m honored to have a story, “The Infant King,” in the latest issue of Golden Handcuffs Review. For decades, GHR has been publishing work by some of the greatest writers period, including Robert Coover, Joshua Cohen (recent winner of the Pulitzer Prize), Lance Olsen, Brian Evenson, Nathaniel Mackey, Rikki Ducornet, Louis Armand, Rick Moody, Liliane Giraudon, Pierre Senges, Luisa Valenzuela, Alan Singer, Gilbert Sorrentino, Harry Mathews, Steve Katz, and of course Joseph McElroy.
“The Infant King” is a 7,500-word stand-alone story from Morphological Echoes, the maximalist novel I’ve been working on for about 5 years now. I’m hoping to finish by the end of this year and feel lobotomized like Rushdie after he finally finished The Satanic Verses.
Aside from my story, this new issue, number 32, features the work of Brian Marley, Stacey Levine, Fanny Howe, Toby Olson, among others.
