Russian Sea Above, Sun Below

I’m honored to have had my debut novel, Sea Above, Sun Below, translated into Russian by the two heroes who worked on Joseph McElroy’s Plus, namely Andrey Miroshnichenko, with additional editorial assistance from Маx Nestelieiev, who has translated works by Don DeLillo, Thomas Pynchon, Cormac McCarthy, and other greats.

This edition is hardcover and has beautiful, custom endpapers and a built-in bookmark ribbon. It’s published by Kongress W, a Moscow-based press focusing on postmodern and experimental literature. They recently published the Russian translation of Evan Dara’s The Last Scrapbook and a massive Russian-language novel titled Plan D the day before by Noam Venevetinov, who I’m told is “the greatest Russian postmodernist.”
